Grace Quantock

Grace Quantock is an anti-oppressive psychotherapeutic counsellor, writer, and advocate specialising in helping marginalized individuals navigate pain, illness, and trauma through embodied practices.

She is a Tin House Winter Workshop alum and author of Living Well with Chronic Illness: Write your own roadmap to healing in tough times (Orion Spring, Hachette).

With 15 years of experience supporting people with complex bodies and lives, Grace has developed Creative Therapeutic Journalling for Wellbeing, combining her training in psychotherapy, somatic bodywork, and art making.

Her writing challenges the "Bootstrap Wellness Narrative" that blames individuals for systemic failures, offering compassionate approaches to healing that honour lived experiences. Grace's work has been featured in The Guardian, The Times, New York Magazine and more.

As a neurodivergent disabled woman, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her writing, creating spaces where art and healing can emerge beyond platitudes and inspirational tropes.
